The CHEST Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the ACCP, the global leader in providing education in cardiopulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine.
The Foundation supports its core pillars of education, care, and community through critical research, the development of important tobacco prevention programs for youth and adolescents, and the creation of patient education materials.
Since 1998, nearly $9 million in donations have been directed to grants and clinical research and humanitarian awards. More than $11 million has been invested in program services, including the development of statewide tobacco prevention programs in elementary schools, the Critical Care Family Assistance Program, the Patient Safety Collaborative, the Surgeon Generals Workshop to address disparities in health care, and the Communications in Healthcare initiative.
OneBreath® is an initiative of The CHEST Foundation that translates the vital knowledge of the ACCP on prevention and diseases of the chest for use by ACCP members and the general public in an effort to promote strong lung and heart health. Through the promotion OneBreath, The Foundation is empowering individuals, families, and communities to lead healthy, active lives.
